Zsofi comes from a classical ballet background, educated from a young age at the Hungarian Dance Academy, she gained her B.A. Degree in 2004. She went on to dance professionally for over 10 years at the Hungarian National Ballet Company with a challenging classical and contemporary repertoire. During this time she started pilates and experienced the great value of injury prevention of the method, continuing practicing ever since.
Zsofi felt the need to share her experiences and started the Stott Pilates certification program for mat and equipment in 2009, where the basis of the training includes the modern principals of exercise science and rehabilitation. This felt like a natural progression to her dance career and has been teaching group and one-on-one classes ever since. In September 2015 Zsofi started the The Romana´s Pilates Instructor Training Programme in London to deepen her understanding and knowledge of the Pilates method. This certification program is one of the most respected classical pilates teacher training certifications in the world, linked to True Pilates in New York, USA founded by Joseph Pilates and continued by the late Romana Kryzanowska, the chosen successor of Joseph Pilates, to teach the Method as was taught by Pilates himself
With a keen eye and attention to detail she's a true inspiration as a teacher. Using her background in classical ballet to create classes, which are attentive and tailored to the needs of each person. Her clients include CEO's, actors, professional dancers as well as young mums working parents, the recently retired and the elderly.
Zsofi has a great knowledge of body awareness and movement and her teaching is derived from an understanding belief that prevention and maintaining health is essential. Her favorite quote from Joseph Pilates is: 'Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness'.
